H1N1 Influenza

We are aware that many people are concerned about the H1N1 Influenza, and at this stage have no plans to cancel the conference. We will keep all participants informed of any developments that occur.

You may still attend the conference and register on-site. Please check the registration page for on-site fee information.

The 8th Annual Pan-SIG Conference consists of the following JALT Special Interest Groups (SIGs):

  • College and University Educators
  • Extensive Reading
  • Gender Awareness in Language Education
  • Lifelong Language Learning
  • Materials Writers
  • Other Language Educators
  • Pragmatics
  • Study Abroad
  • Testing and Evaluation

and will be supported by the following groups:

  • JALT Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) Special Interest Group
  • The Yokohama Chapter of JALT
  • The West Tokyo Chapter of JALT
  • The Tokyo Chapter of JALT

Held on Saturday and Sunday, May 23rd and 24th, 2009 at Toyo Gakuen University, Nagareyama Campus, in Chiba, the 2009 Conference promises to be the biggest and best yet. We are delighted to announce our two plenary speakers, J D Brown, and Deryn Verity.

The deadline for submissions is February the 15th, 2009
