Presentation Room Equipment at PanSIG 2025

This page is to help presenters prepare for their presentations at PanSIG 2025. Please see the venue floor plan to understand where the presentation rooms will be. KUIS volunteer teachers will be available in the halls to answer questions, ensure the set up goes smoothly, and help in case of any problems.

  • Each room has:
    • a projector and speakers (note: 3-201 & 3-202 have a double screen),
      or
    • a large-screen TV (55-inch or bigger), with built in speakers
  • You can connect to all projectors and TVs with HDMI cables. (Please bring an HDMI adapter if your device needs one.)
  • If you're using an HDMI cable, the sound might come out of the projector, but in that case, you can shift the sound to the room speakers.
  • WiFi will only work in the presentation areas/classrooms (click here for WiFi details)
  • Mics: The larger SIG forum rooms (3-201, 3-202, 3-301) and the plenary all have mics but none of the other rooms have them.

Projectors and screens

You may notice that some rooms have multiple projectors. Please do not use this function. Only use the C (center) projector in these cases.

Boards

Some rooms have whiteboards, while others have chalkboards. You can attach magnets to all of the boards or use tape. Please do not tape anything to any walls other than these boards. Also please remove any tape at the end of your session.

Desks and chairs

Nearly all classrooms have desks and or chairs that are movable, but some have tables and chairs that are bolted in place. Please don't rely on being able to move the furniture around during your presentation -- if you're planning on forming groups, have a backup plan that allows for immovable furniture. If you do move desk around for your presentation, please return them to the original layout at the end to help the next presenter.

Audio

All rooms have speakers. If you're using an HDMI cable, the sound might initially come out of the projector, but in that case, you can shift the sound to the room speakers.
